Brian Lohnes is on the hotrod forum where I hang out. He's the guy in the tower calling the race for the fans in the northeast. He told a story about one race - there were some overhead wires. A seagull came flying in and landed on the wire. The bird then reached overhead and chomped down on another wire. POW! A flash of bright light, and down the bird went. WHUMP.
